Apple is reportedly developing a gaming controller [updated]

It would be as well now! We told you a thousand times how iPhone and iPad are now the real game console. So many times we showed physical controller made by third parties, already available on the market or still to be released. Finally, we have also proposed a Duo review Gamer , Gameloft's a really well done, though unfortunately not supported properly by the compatible software list. In short, with this background c 8217; # & was right to expect a similar move by Apple. Not c 8217; # & is nothing for sure but 8230 & #;

Pocket Gamer colleagues reported today that Apple may be working on a physical controller for iOS games. The rumor comes from many developers, who interrogated properly by the editors, they stated that Apple is poised to release a control device for the iOS gaming. Developers, who asked to remain anonymous, they met representatives of Apple to GDC 2013 in a private room.

L 8217; # & article does not specify with which devices the controller might work, but if Apple is planning to open the Apple TV to third-party developers, it is logical to think that the pad could work with all available applications. We don't know, of course, how much of it there is in these statements, but if Apple were to release a physical pad, also compatible with the iPhone, it would be really tough for competitors like Sony and Nintendo, already threatened by the many games available in the App Store and are very pleasant with the simple tactile control.

None of the developers have been able to do with PocketGamer specified directly that Apple is working on a nondomain controller, but the sources just bring that & # 8221;Apple is working on something big.

In short, we do not know what to expect, but if the rumor were to be confirmed, the gaming side of Apple will expand as well.

Update: according to Jim Dalrymple at The Loop, the News reported by PocketGamer wouldn't be credible, given that its sources (and we know how well informed Dalrymple) have no evidence in this regard.
