According to a study carried out by Ooyala on iOS and Android, two-thirds of the videos displayed on Smartphones are launched on an iPhone, while only one third from mobile devices with the Google operating system.
Specifically, iOS generates 67% of video traffic on Smartphones, while the remaining 33% is occupied by Android. Ooyala took account only of these two operating systems, but in any case the minimum data-generating alternatives.
We have to specify, however, that this study takes into account the time spent by the use of video, and not the number of videos viewed, so the result may mean that iOS users spend more time viewing video than not happen for Android users. Still, c 8217; # & is who sees in this a discrepancy in 8217; # & using web connection: in practice, iOS users (maybe even through a series of better deals by operators) spend more time with the device connected to the network than they do owners of Android smartphones, without forgetting that many Android devices are low-mid endso not exactly designed for such use.
Finally, c 8217; # & is who explains this difference between the sales numbers (upper Android Apple) against increased use of 8217; # & iPhone (it was also seen in the study on in-flight use of smartphones), stating that the makers of Android Smartphones (except Amazon) spread the delivery of data, not actual sales all 8217; # & end-user. Only Apple, and Amazon, instead mean the real sales to end users, and not the number of devices delivered to distributors and resellers.
