Although iOS is considered to be a secure OS, hackers could take control of an iPhone using a malicious profile developed specifically for this OS. This was revealed by Skycure Security company is an expert in computer security.
Whilst it is true that Android has already been a victim in the past by various malware from 8217; # & other it cannot be said that it is totally immune to iOS, at least according to Skycure researchers. According to them, in fact, a hacker could prepare a profile for iOS (known as mobileconfig file) for malicious purposes. The profiles are often used by network operators to automatically configure the main settings for the connection through iPhone, but these files could be exploited by attackers to purposes not certain nobles.
The process would be similar to a & # 8217; typical malware infection. A hacker can trick users into visiting a malicious web site, with maybe some tempting offer. To obtain this offer, all 8217; # & user would be prompted to configure certain settings by installing a simple profile on your iOS device. This will auto-install by simply selecting it and giving confirmation, but if specifically configured could allow all 8217; # & hackers have full access to the device. Of course, as is so often the case, such an attack is successful only with l 8217; # & help of unsuspecting users who are capturing from attractive offers and not minding what to install on your iPhone or iPad.
But a skilled hacker might be able to make it look like a profile malware as a file posted by an operator, so the Skycure tips are those of:
1. Install iOS profiles from sites or trusted app
2. be sure to download the profiles to secure channels, such as being careful to profiles whose reference site starts for 8220; # & http & # 8221; and 8220; # & not https & # 8221;
3. be careful to mobileconfig uncertified, i.e. those for which iOS will warn that it could not verify the source.
