Toy Story Smash It! : Towards the 8217; # & infinity and beyond! [Review]

unnamed (4)

Every now and then we like to return children. Watching an animated film makes us still get off a may tear for the nostalgia and sometimes we are holding our old toys and remember with a little melancholy the wonderful days of leisure.

If you're the kind of people who are excited for these little things, we ensure that the feeling you will have playing the new weblog title Disney, Toy Story: Smash It!, will be very similar to those previously described. The game looks like a cute Puzzle Game with mechanical properties similar to those of Angry Birds, but three-dimensional key magazines.

Will he surprise us or will only be a failed experiment

A world full of toys

Although the structure of the game is very similar to the famous title of Rovio Entertainment , Toy Story: Smash It! has its own personality. Starting from the initial menu, everything was edited to try to usher people the player as much as possible inside the magical world of Toy Story.

In the game we will control the legendary Buzz Lightyear, the friendly Space Ranger toy which featured with her courage and tenacity the entire saga of Toy Story. Aim of the game is to shoot down the aliens using various types of objects, including balls, balloons and gift packs. The aliens will be positioned in many different places, protected by multiple buildings. The launch will not be affected by any external factor, but only by shooting: calibration, simply aiming through touch screen to make perfect pitches.

Fairy tales come to life

Graphically the title is very nice. Buzz Lightyear is reproduced very well, game environments (if somewhat bare) are well reproduced and the physics engine is excellent. Too bad for some Frame Rate issues in the most confusing of the game, but this is not going to affect the gameplay.

An applause goes to the Fund. In the game you will find the main theme "you've got a friend in me", instrumental version. The delightful tune adds that extra touch to enhance the overall atmosphere of the title and, in addition, to make happy all fans of Woody and co.

A short and easy mission for one Space Ranger

The title offers 60 levels divided in 4 episodes. We put no time (up to a few hours) to complete them all because the difficulty level (except in some rare case) is extremely low. The title is addressed mainly to young audiences, but we believe that even the latter will notice a certain ease throughout the duration of the game.

Unfortunately Toy Story: Smash It! flaw in level design: most puzzles can be completed with just one shot and this won't even so much difficult to calibrate. In addition, the difficulty curve is totally absurd: we will start with very simple levels, until you get to some slightly more challenging, then end up again very simple levels until you reach the last levels, despite the interesting concept, hide an ease is nothing short of incredible.

Toy Story: Smash It! is this on Play Store at a price of 0,75€, a low cost despite the brevity of the gaming experience. On this last aspect we announce that, according to the main menu, Disney will insert new levels and new playable episodes over the course of the year, hoping that they are safe!

Conclusion

Toy Story Smash It! is a successful experiment in half. Although the gameplay is straightforward and functional, the other excessive simplicity of the title lies heavily on our final evaluation. Therefore, we believe the latter creating Disney a good unpretentious title, we recommend especially to all fans of Buzz Lightyear and Woody, but also to all lovers of the not-too-challenging puzzle.

Use of the brain: the game is very easy, does not require a particular concentration, except for a few levels.
