We just mentioned this morning all 8217; # & arrival of a title dedicated to Tegra platform: we were talking about The Conduit HD, the 8220; # & new & # 8221; (so to speak, since it was available for the Nintendo Wii platform for some time) FPS of High Voltage software house Software, game appeared not long ago on Tegra NVIDIA and areas now available on Play Store.
As mentioned, The Conduit HD is a FPS (first person shooter), a first-person shooter featuring a science fiction plot based on international intrigue and alien invasions. The player is launched directly into 8217; # & action, armed to the teeth and catapulted into a story clearly already underway and about to come to a conclusion.
Thanks to NVIDIA, we were able to try The Conduit Preview: graphic output on Transformer, equipped with Tegra SoC 3, is excellent, and definitely better than the Nintendo version a few years ago. But the strength of the title does not lie only in the graphics engine, as game elements.
A vast arsenal, puzzles to be solved by 8217; # & dell & # 8217 use;All Seeing Eye (ASE), a device able to see hidden items, high customization of game, starting with the graphics settings to continue with navigation, speed of rotation of the character and much more.
These are some of the features of The Conduit, watch out for that # & 8217; opportunity has been made compatible with the physical controller. When The Conduit is a 8217; # & exclusive Tegra and will boast the following method: the first two levels, those that introduce us to the story, will be free; the remaining 7 levels will cost you 4,99$ (about 3,80€) or otherwise you can stagger the cost paying 2,99$ (about 2,30€) for levels from 3 to 6 and other 2,99$ for the remaining levels.
The plot
In The Conduit HD will assume the role of Michael Ford, a secret agent tostissimo enlisted by the Government for a secret mission. A terrorist named Prometheus took possession of an experimental technology called DIVA (l & # 8217;All Seeing Eye that we named earlier). Once recovered such technology, addressing government soldiers converted with a strange nerve gas, we will find out soon enough that those who have enlisted actually & # 8230;
We do not want to reveal further: you can just know that the plot is intriguing, perhaps not at the highest level in terms of originality, but it's still nice and tempts the player to proceed to find out how Mr. Ford if the comparison between governmental intrigue and aliens sprung up out of strange & # 8220;8221; # & ducts (hence the name of the game).
Gameplay
As in classic FPS we have a vast arsenal of weapons, including pistols and rifles, experimental and classic aliens, plus some heavy weapons such as rocket launchers, assisted by fido grenades and even from a small little surprise that there we want to unravel.
The gameplay is that classic of the genre: advance, shoot and survive. The layers are sprinkled with ammunition and medipacks, shouldn't be a problem to survive several waves; This course with a low difficulty level! Enemies are smart enough, and they will try to exploit the covers (not always) to resist as much as possible. This feature does not apply to you: you will not be able to exploit or other coverings; The Conduit is a FPS in Doom style, so to speak: then you will try to move quickly through corners and rooms to recharge and heal.
L # & 8217; only difference with the standard FPS is # & 8217; use of DIVA to discover the secrets of the levels and for other functions, such as disabling invisible mines, 8217; # & opening organic blocks that will seal the doors or the discovery of secret passages. In case you lost the DIVA will give you the way to go.
Graphics and sound
When The Conduit is a HD 8217; # & exclusively for Tegra devices: the graphics engine, as you can see from the comparison, underwent a remarkable restoration & #; # & 8220 8221; compared to the version for the Nintendo Wii. Pricing you regardless of platform, the graphics engine used by The Conduit is not perhaps the most in terms of graphics rendering, and could be overcome to some extent by Gameloft FPS (such as the recent Modern Combat 4) .
But we must say that overall it has a result somewhat nostalgic, such as that induced by Max Payne and the GTA Vice City , that disfigures all on existing mobile devices. Let us remember that in the end, even by purchasing all levels, let's spend a figure much lower than that required for a PC/Console game, or for the same Conduit at the time of 8217; # & exit for Wii.
The fact remains that light effects, explosions and various additional effects are well made, and the end result is excellent. Good also the fps (frame per second this time), we monitored thanks to the developer version of the game from us.
Good sound sector, also in English, with a good voice acting (maybe sometimes a little 8217; # & dish) and sound effects. Even in this case we can be more than satisfied.

The Conduit is a FPS full HD in all respects: it is perhaps not a 8217; # & gaming experience to Deus Ex, the Fallout (which are practically of role-playing games) or to Bioshock, but still offers hours of fun at a price well balanced. The game however is not exempt from in-app purchases, but, for once, are original: it is indeed a real cheat, such as invulnerability, infinite ammo or other such lamerate, unlockables in return for payment.
