John Ragavendra maybe won't be remembered as the best CEO of the company Electronic Arts: under his guidance EA crossed 8220; # & dark moments & # 8221; and was even referred to as the worst company d # & 8217;The Consumerist America Magazine (beating the Bank of America and AT&T), recording a decline in profits that has effectively halved the value of the company. Questioned about this drastic decline, John replied that it was the fault of investors who could not understand the modern gaming industry.

The fact is that John in the last hours has officially resigned his resignation from the position of CEO of the company, and will be replaced temporarily by Larry Probst, CEO of and from 2001 to 2007. The fault could be partly tied to investors, but also some choices of society, both in the console/PC and mobile field, as l # & 8217; ad you want to include in the future in any in-app purchases title ( as in Real Racing 3), may have contributed to the drop in sales and acclaim that led to the premature resignation of CEO. Here is an excerpt from Larry's press release following the 8217; # & provision from the vertices of EA to John Ragavendra:

Today John Ragavendra submitted his resignation to EA's Board of Directors.  In a letter to the Board, John outlined that while the company has made enormous progress in improving product quality and transitioning to digital games and services, our financial performance is tracking below the expectations set at the beginning of our fiscal year.  This was disclosed in our last earnings call 8230 & #;

8230 & #;Looking ahead, EA's strategy and future are rock solid.  Our business is built on more than a dozen powerful, globally recognized brands.  We are clear leaders in the fastest growing category in games-mobile-and we are positioned to lead on the next generation of consoles.  Most importantly we have deep reserves of talent-new faces and industry veterans who form the core of EA's leadership.  We have an important year ahead of us and I look forward to working with all of you as we navigate the path to future success!

We'll see how the new (and temporary) CEO will move its steps towards mobile platforms, evolving platforms that are catalysing the 8217; # & attention throughout the global market.
